Quality Assurance Program

Quality at ScreenerKing is not an abstract policy statement—it is a set of specific practices built into every step of our manufacturing process. Every replacement screen and every screener unit that leaves our Houston facility has been individually inspected against defined specifications. This page describes what we check, how we check it, and the documentation we provide.

Screen Quality Inspection

Every replacement screen undergoes the following checks before shipping:

  • Mesh verification: The mesh count (wires per inch) is verified to confirm the correct mesh size was used. Mesh opening size is checked against ASTM E11 or equivalent tolerances.
  • Frame dimensional check: Outside diameter, inside diameter, and ring height are measured and compared against the specification for the target separator brand and model.
  • Bond integrity inspection: The epoxy bond between mesh and frame is visually inspected for completeness, uniformity, and absence of voids, gaps, or bubbles that could cause bond failure in service.
  • Mesh tension check: The screen surface is checked for proper tension—flat and taut with no sagging, wrinkling, or loose areas.
  • Visual inspection: Overall workmanship is assessed including edge finish, gasket channel condition, and absence of surface defects.

Material Traceability

We maintain traceability from raw material to finished screen:

  • Wire mesh: Each mesh lot is received with a material certification documenting the stainless steel alloy grade, chemical composition, wire diameter, and mesh count. Lot numbers are recorded.
  • Frame material: Stainless steel for frames is sourced from qualified suppliers with material certifications.
  • Bonding materials: Epoxy and gasket materials are traceable to manufacturer lot numbers.

Documentation Provided with Orders

ScreenerKing provides the following documentation upon request:

  • Material certifications for stainless steel mesh and frame materials
  • Screen dimensional specifications confirming OEM compatibility
  • Mesh size verification records
  • Certificate of conformance for regulated industry applications

For food, pharmaceutical, and nutraceutical customers operating under FDA, cGMP, or FSMA requirements, this documentation supports your equipment qualification files and audit readiness.

Continuous Improvement

We track screen performance feedback from customers to identify opportunities for improvement. If a customer reports a screen issue, we investigate root cause, implement corrective action, and verify effectiveness. This feedback loop drives continuous improvement in our materials, processes, and inspection criteria.
