The biggest investment in any vibratory screen is the frame itself. ScreenerKing's rescreening service protects that investment by remeshing your used rings to factory-spec performance — and select frames qualify for credit toward your next ScreenerKing order.

We strip every trace of old mesh, prep the frame, bond new mesh at precise tension, and ship it back ready to run. Rescreening extends the life of the rings, frames, and ultrasonic assemblies you already own — saving the bulk of your investment without a full replacement.

What We Rescreen

Standard round vibratory screen rings ready for rescreening service

Standard Round Screen Rings

Our most common rescreen — and the most cost-effective. We strip every trace of old mesh, then bond new mesh at precise tension for uniform vibration and zero sag. Select round rings qualify for account credit.

Rectangular tube steel vibratory screen frame

Tube Steel Frames

The welded steel chassis is the expensive part — the mesh is the wear item. We restore the bonding surface and lock in a fresh, leak-proof seal built for heavy abrasive loads.

Rotex APEX vibratory screen frame ready for rescreening

Rotex® APEX™ Frames

APEX frames are a premium investment built to outlast their mesh. We preserve the hollow-build structure and open area, delivering a factory-spec finish at a fraction of replacement cost.

Ultrasonic vibratory screen ring with transducer assembly

Ultrasonic Screen Rings

The ring is the most expensive part of any ultrasonic assembly. We restore the precise tension and flatness your transducer needs, saving the bulk of your investment without a full replacement.

How the Process Works

Rescreening workflow: Ship, Evaluate, then Credit or Service
Ship → Evaluate → Credit or Service. A simple workflow for every rescreening order.

All frames qualify for SERVICE; select frames qualify for CREDIT.

  1. Ship: Send us your used screen rings and frames. We'll provide shipping guidance and any documentation you need for your outbound freight.
  2. Evaluate: We inspect every ring and frame for structural soundness and confirm it's a candidate for high-quality rescreening.
  3. Credit or Service: Once verified, we apply credit for qualifying rings and process all frames for our premium re-screening service. For example, 10 qualifying 60" round screen rings earns +$750 in account credit, while every accepted frame is restored and returned ready to run.

Rescreening Evaluation Criteria

During evaluation, we look for four characteristics that tell us a ring will take a new mesh bond cleanly and perform reliably in service:

Cross-section of a vibratory screen ring showing epoxy mesh, stainless steel construction, thin lip ring geometry, and hollow build
Cross-section of a rescreenable ring.
  • Epoxy Mesh Construction: The original mesh was bonded with epoxy (not gasket-sealed or welded), so we can cleanly strip and re-bond without damaging the ring.
  • Hollow Build: The frame is hollow tube or ring construction, preserving the lightweight performance profile of the original screen.
  • Thin Lip Ring: The ring geometry provides the clean bonding surface required for precision re-tensioning and long-term reuse.
  • High-Quality Stainless Steel: Stainless construction (typically 304 or 316) that has not been structurally compromised by corrosion, impact, or prior repairs.

On round sandwich screens, our service replaces the top mesh while maintaining the existing bottom mesh and deblinding media.

Mesh & adhesive specs we offer

We rescreen using your choice of 304 or 316 stainless steel in Market Grade, Mill Grade, or Tensile Bolting Cloth across the full range of mesh counts from coarse scalping (4 mesh) to fine pharmaceutical separations (400 mesh). Standard rescreens are bonded with general-purpose epoxy; food-grade epoxy is available on request for food, pharmaceutical, cannabis, dairy, and other regulated process applications. Tell us your target mesh size, alloy, weave, and adhesive grade, and we'll match it.

Can vs. Cannot Be Rescreened

Not every ring is a rescreening candidate. Here's a visual reference for what qualifies — and what doesn't — before you ship.

Rotex® APEX™ Frames

Built to outlast their mesh, APEX frames retain full open area and integrity through repeated rescreens.

Ultrasonic screen ring eligible for ScreenerKing rescreening service

Rescreening Service Available

Ultrasonic Rings

Beneath the transducer assembly, the ring shares the same rescreenable geometry as a standard round.

Sweco Fusion ring with permanent gasket bonding — not eligible for rescreening

Not Eligible

Sweco Fusion Rings

The mesh is permanently fused into a molded polymer gasket, so removing it would destroy the ring itself.

Z ring with non-flat lip profile — not eligible for rescreening

Not Eligible

Z Rings

The Z-shaped profile lacks the continuous flat lip needed to tension new mesh evenly and bond it securely.

Spot welded ring with raised contact points — not eligible for rescreening

Not Eligible

Spot Welded Rings

Spot welds leave raised contact points and heat-affected zones that prevent the flat, uniform bonding surface a quality rescreen requires.

Not sure whether your rings qualify? Send us a few photos — a full shot and a close-up of the ring profile — and we'll confirm before you ship anything.

Why Rescreening Makes Sense

  • Protect your frame investment: Frames and rings cost more than mesh. Rescreening lets you reuse the expensive part of your screen, frame, or ultrasonic assembly.
  • Credit on qualifying rings: Select rings generate account credit toward future ScreenerKing orders — replacement screens, new equipment, anything in our catalog.
  • Factory-spec finish: Same mesh quality, same tensioning process, same epoxy system we use to manufacture new screens at our Houston, Texas facility.
  • Reduce waste: Keep stainless steel frames in service instead of scrapping them. Lower disposal cost and a smaller footprint.
  • One vendor, one workflow: Order new screens, rescreen used ones, and manage equipment service through the same account.

Frequently Asked Questions

Do all frames qualify for credit?

No — all frames qualify for our re-screening service, but only select rings qualify for account credit. Credit is typically reserved for standard round screen rings that meet our evaluation criteria. Tube steel, Apex, and ultrasonic frames are restored through service and returned ready to run.

How much credit will I get for my used rings?

Credit is based on ring quantity and size. As a reference point, 10 qualifying 60" round screen rings earns +$750 in account credit. Contact us with your specific ring type, size, and quantity for an exact credit estimate before you ship.

Do I have to rescreen everything I send in?

No. You can rescreen a portion now and hold the rest for later — for example, rescreen 5 rings today and keep the remaining qualifying rings on file. Credit is applied based on the total qualifying rings we receive, so you don't have to commit to rescreening the full batch at once.

Do you offer food-grade epoxy?

Yes. Our standard rescreen uses a general-purpose epoxy that's a good fit for most industrial applications. For food and beverage, pharmaceutical, cannabis, dairy, and other regulated processes, we offer a food-grade epoxy on request — just let us know when you contact us for a quote and we'll spec it accordingly.

Can you rescreen ultrasonic screens?

Yes. The ring beneath an ultrasonic transducer assembly shares the same rescreenable geometry as a standard round. We restore the precise tension and flatness your transducer needs, saving the bulk of your investment without a full replacement.

What happens to rings that don't qualify?

If a ring fails evaluation — for example, a spot-welded ring, a Z ring, or one with structural damage — we'll let you know and discuss options. We can return it, scrap it on your behalf, or apply partial credit if only some of a batch qualifies.

How long does rescreening take?

Standard turnaround is approximately 2 weeks from receipt. Larger volume orders, custom mesh specifications, or current production load may extend that timeline — we'll confirm a firm lead time when we evaluate your rings.

Can you rescreen a sandwich screen without replacing the deblinding media?

Yes. On round sandwich screens we can replace the top mesh while maintaining the existing bottom mesh and deblinding media — a cost-effective option when only the top layer has worn out.

Can you rescreen rings from brands other than ScreenerKing?

Yes, as long as the ring meets our evaluation criteria (epoxy-bonded mesh, hollow build, thin-lip geometry, sound stainless steel). We routinely rescreen rings from Sweco, Kason, Midwestern, Russell Finex, Rotex, and other major separator brands. Sweco Fusion rings, Z rings, and spot-welded rings are not eligible.
