Q: What is a multi-port screener cover?
A: A multi-port cover is a custom lid for a round vibratory separator that carries more than the usual single inlet and single inspection port. This one has nine penetrations: one center feed inlet, four capped inspection ports, and four connector collars for flexible boots.
Q: Why choose a custom cover instead of a standard dome cover?
A: A standard dome cover comes with one inlet and one inspection port. If your process needs several takeoffs, vent or dust connections, or sight access at more than one point around the deck, a custom cover puts every penetration where your pipework already runs, instead of forcing you to re-plumb around a stock lid.
Q: What are the connector collars for?
A: The beaded collars accept flexible connector boots, clamped on with worm-gear clamps. The bead stops the clamp sliding off while the machine vibrates. Depending on the process, the collars carry feed, vent, dust take-off, or instrument lines.
Q: Why 304 stainless with a bead-blast finish?
A: 304 stainless resists corrosion and holds up to washdown, which matters in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, and chemical plants. The bead-blast finish leaves a uniform, non-directional surface that hides handling marks and wipes clean without trapping product along a grain direction.
Q: What do the lifting eyes do?
A: The four lifting eyes give fixed points to lift the cover straight off the machine. On a lid this heavily ported, that avoids prying at the rim, protects the gasket seat, and stops the collars being used as handles.
Q: What do you need from me to quote one?
A: Your separator's make, model, and deck diameter, plus the port layout you need — how many connections, what sizes, and roughly where they sit. A photo of your current cover and pipework is usually enough to start. Most quotes and drawings come back in 1–2 business days.
Q: Can you build a different port count or layout?
A: Yes. The cover shown is one configuration. Port count, port size, collar placement, and lifting eye positions are all built to your requirements.
