Standard Screen or Self-Cleaning (Sandwich) Screen?
The first decision is whether you need a plain woven-wire screen or a self-cleaning "sandwich" screen with deblinding media built in. Deblinding media — nylon sliders, rubber balls, or a combination — bounce against the underside of the mesh during operation to knock loose material that would otherwise blind (clog) the openings.

Single-Layer or Double-Layer Construction?
A single-layer screen has one woven-wire mesh screening surface — the standard construction for most applications. A double-layer screen adds a coarser backing mesh underneath the fine screening layer for extra support. Backing mesh is common on fine-mesh screens (very small openings), where the screening layer alone can be too delicate to hold up under continuous vibration. If you're replacing an existing screen, matching the current construction is the safest choice; if you're not sure which yours is, our team can confirm it from your model number or a photo of the current screen.

How to Measure Your Separator for a Replacement Screen

- Outside diameter of the screen frame — measure the existing screen, not the machine housing.
- Mesh opening or count your application requires, or the spec of the screen you're replacing.
- Brand and model number of your separator, usually on a nameplate on the machine.
